Grapes and hops can be toxic to cats!

The links between grapes and digestive upset (diarrhea, vomiting, and kidney damage) are well established in dogs, however the risk to cats has less evidence behind it, its sufficient enough to draw warnings from the ASPCA and PetMD. While your cat could enjoy a grape or raisin even once in a while, as a general rule it is best to keep your fur baby away from grapes and hops!

A cats liver and kidneys are hardworking and resilient organs that filter out toxins and help with digestion. what people may think is an insignificant amount of alcohol could be deadly to a full grown cats, let alone a curious kitten. One teaspoon of grain based alcohol is enough to cause symptoms of alcohol toxicity. Three teaspoons can put your cat in a coma!
