For those of you that have questions, concerns,causes and care for cats with blindness. A cat with blindness is able to overcome this and can do anything a seeing cat can do.

The most common causes of blindness is untreated eye infections, glaucoma, high blood pressure, diabetes and hyperthyroid. Other cause not that common are trauma, taurine deficiency, block tear ducts, disease, cancer or tumors, worms (dewormed).

If you notice or become aware that your cat misjudges heights, bumps into things, confusion, clumsiness or rubs their eye constantly these are a few warning signs. In these cases it is important to take your cat for diagnoses by a vet and treated as soon as possible. Please insist the vet check BP- if hypertension.

Never trim a cats whiskers (especially blind cats) they use them for brushing up on stuff and for distance.
