Toxic foods for your cats that you may not have known about!

Have you ever been sitting at the table eating dinner and your fur baby
jumps up and starts to beg? Some foods that we eat everyday can be
dangerous for our cats! Hopefully this article will help you know when
to say no.

Onions, Garlic, and chives:
The consumption of these in small doses can cause your cats red blood cells
to break down, leading to anemia. If they eat large amounts it can lead to onion
poisoning.

Grapes and Raisins:
Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure in cats. Small amounts can
make your cat sick, repeated vomiting and hyperactivity are early signs
that they may have eaten some.

Chocolate:
Chocolate has a toxic agent called theobromine, it is in all kinds of chocolate,
including white. The most dangerous for cats is dark, and unsweetened cooking
chocolate. It causes abnormal heart rhythms, tremors, seizures, and death.

Caffeine:
Caffeine can be found in tea, coffee, cocoa, colas, and energy drinks.
Symptoms of caffeine poisoning for cats include restlessness, rapid breathing,
heart palpitations, and muscle tremors.
