Adopting a Cat? Be sure to Get a Microchip!
A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and your vet can easily place it in your pet. Each chip has the owner's name and contact information. If your cat should go missing and is taken to a shelter or to a vet's office, having a microchip will help make sure they get back to you fast. Most shelters have scanners that will read microchip information. Animals without microchips have a much less secure future. With a microchip in place with your up-to-date information, the chances your cat will make it back to you go way up.
